HISTORY OF RAP

History of RapBefore illustration of history of Rap, I would like to have emphasis on the word "Rap". Rap is a strike. Rap is a sound of mourn. Rap is a knock at your heart to be attentive for and unite you on a core agenda or schema. Hence, history of rap music relates to a practical presentation of African-Americans to focus their listeners about their problems, about their grievances, and about their civil and human rights confiscations. They express their messages through Rap songs in rhythmic ways.

The history of RAP music had blown up to its barriers in the early 1970s. Sugar Hill Gang, a rapper musician, started work in collaboration with female artists like Salt-n-Pepa, Queen Latifah, and Li'l Kim. From time to time, as we know necessity is the mother of inventions, in analogy of this phrase, African-Americans started to discover some new musical genres and used them to educate their generations and to spread a message to the whole world with the intention that they could success to prominent themselves to the world eye. Initially such emerges of musical genres known as rock-n-roll in 1950s, later known as disco in 1970s, but it was named Rap in 1980s.

The period before 1980s was the initial part of history of rap. After 1980s, it is the evolvement between general and black peoples of Unites States. The slaves of that time were used to American music and the West Africans used to American music with the drum beats. Folktales of African-Americans and Jamaicans were enough similar to each other. Not only narrative poems, but also the emerged musical genres were also akin to their music styles. Such narrative poems, folktales, and stories let know their hardships such as ghetto life, prohibition to drugs addicted people, teenage sexual desires, and the racism that was the dark period of African-Americans. The pessimists take Rap as an outspoken outlet for conveying anything deliberately, but optimists take Rap as a splendid way to distinguish between illusion and reality.

After 1980s, the history of Rap music is now being called hip-hop music which is basically the today's evolvement prevalent over the world. The Rap/Hip-Hop is the combination of many stylistic approach in music and modern musical instruments are being used together to form its new refined shape of the Rap music. Even though, rap and hip-hop are the synonyms for each other, but in future it would a separate part of rap history. Either you say rap or hip-hop, both uses four elements which are emceeing, deejaying, graffiti, and breakdancing, but some people still argue that Rap is a type in music, whereas hip-hop is a culture and lifestyle even languages and dress code affect to both them. Resultantly, what we have to remember and feel that rap or hip-hop music is a humble commercial appeal which is published at a wink across the world, but alas still they are with their chronic mourns, grievances, and fighting against their citizenship, civil and fundamental human rights assurance.
